Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy

11th International Yoga Day

With the unifying theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College & Research Centre, Koneripatti, Rasipuram, observed the 11th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with great enthusiasm and participation.

The celebration was held at the college auditorium, where students, faculty, and staff gathered to embrace the ancient Indian practice of yoga as a pathway to holistic health, mental balance, and environmental harmony.

A Movement for Health and Harmony

The event began with an address on the significance of International Yoga Day and how yoga aligns with the principles of homoeopathy — promoting natural healing, inner balance, and sustainable living. Participants then engaged in a guided yoga session that included:

  • Asanas for flexibility and strength

  • Pranayama (breathing exercises) for mental clarity and relaxation

  • Meditation to enhance inner peace and focus

Bridging Traditional Wisdom with Modern Health

Yoga and homoeopathy both represent systems of healing that consider the mind, body, and environment as interconnected. The celebration reinforced this philosophy, encouraging future healthcare professionals to adopt and recommend preventive practices for a healthier society.

Virtual Participation Encouraged

Though hosted physically, the event was also open virtually to accommodate participation from a wider audience, promoting awareness beyond the campus and emphasizing that wellness is everyone’s responsibility.

The International Yoga Day celebration at Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College & Research Centre served as a reminder that well-being is not just the absence of illness, but the presence of harmony — with oneself, with others, and with the Earth.
