The Department of Community Medicine at Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College & Research Centre organized an educational field visit to the Water Purification Plant at Thottilpatti Water Purification Plant for III BHMS students as part of the Competency-Based Dynamic Curriculum.
This visit provided students with valuable insights into the processes of water purification, safe water supply systems, and their crucial role in preventing water-borne diseases and promoting community health. Observing these public health practices firsthand helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world implementation.
Such experiential learning opportunities empower future homoeopathic physicians to develop a deeper understanding of environmental health and preventive medicine, reinforcing the vital connection between safe water, sanitation, and community well-being.
🌍 Because protecting community health begins with understanding the basics of safe water.
